Saisuree Sengprasan

Saisuree ‘Kookkai’ Sengprasan is the Policy Advocacy and Capacity Building Expert at the Peace Culture Foundation, joining the Scaling Up PLH in the Public Health System Project in June 2023.

Saisuree has 16 years of experience with INGOs and local NGOs in programme management, programme support, and monitoring and evaluation. She has over 5 years of experience in capacity building as well as in organizing meetings, events, exchanges, and excursions. Her main focus is on Child Safeguarding, Child Sponsorship, Anti-human Trafficking, Gender Based Violence, Health, Education, Livelihood, and Positive Parenting. Her experience spans various Asian contexts including Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Nepal, India and Philippines.

Saisuree has passionately devoted herself to child-focused programmes by focusing on Child Development, Child Safeguarding, and Children in Crisis. She has worked at World Vision Foundation as an Operations Support Manager, Programme Officer, and National Disaster Management Coordinator; at IFRC – American Red Cross as a Programme Assistant; at Compassion Thailand as a Training and Specialist manager; at EDC – Education Development Center Inc., as program Assistant; and at ADRA Thailand as a Monitoring and Evaluation and Human Resource Officer. Besides, she has also worked as a Programme Support Consultant for various NGOs/INGOs in programme design, research, monitoring and evaluation tools development, training material development, proposal development, event organizing and logistics coordination. These organizations include as HelpAge International, TearfundUK, AVPN, SIL, GSST, RECOFTC, FN Educon, Plan International, Compassion International, and World Vision.

Saisuree has a MSc in Community Psychology and a BA in French and Western Literature. She has been a speaker and engaged in research in the following projects: Lesson Learned Workshop for Keep Girl Safe Project Phase VII, 2022; Cost Benefit Analysis-Migrant/Stateless – We Belong #Status Project, 2022; Final Evaluation – Migrant/Stateless SEAS of Change Phase II Project, 2022; CSW66 – Global NGO Parallel Event – Food Security and Poverty Reduction UN Women representing Thailand, India and Philippines, 2022; AWARE II Project – Accelerating Work Achievement and Readiness for Employment, 2017-1019; Disaster Risk Reduction Practitioners – IFRC & Inter-agencies, 2023; Building Urban Resilience – GDPC American Red Cross, 2023; Speaker – Psychology for Human Resources at Kasetsart University, 2013; Research – Child Protection Risks due to Flooding in Thailand with Interagency Partners (UNICEF, Plan International, Save the Children, World Vision, ChildLine, Friend International), 2011. She was the representative to attend Health in Emergency Workshop by World Vision International at Cavite, Philippines, 2011 and the Humanitarian Leadership Program at Melbourne by World Vision Australia, Melbourne Australia 2012, GIK Conference by World Vision US at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania USA 2011 and Non-communication diseases strategy plan forum by Age International at Johannesburg South Africa 2016. She was the organizer team for Donors & Government partners Forum in Asia by Age international at Hanoi Vietnam 2017, AVPN Meeting Global Forum at Bangkok Thailand 2017 and EMDC Global Training by Wicliff at Chiang Mai Thailand 2022.
